Thriller Sub Genres

Thriller, as a genre, has sub-genre's such as action or horror. The sub-genre determines what type of thriller it is.

Action-can have certain features such as violence,fightings. The film may include explosions, guns, car chaces. e.g.The Bourne Identity
Horror -often features nightmares and  emotions of fear, disgust from the audience. e.g -saw .
Psychological  - charaters are usually in a mental or an emotional conflict and can be based on reality of something that  wouldn't be scientifically possible e.g - The ring
Political -usually involve plots, designed to give political power to someone, while his opponents try to stop him. e.g - The ghost writer.
Supernatural - charaters will have some sort of special power and contain a villain and a superhero. e.g -Superman.
Medical- a thriller with the hero/heroine as a doctor or a medical personnel. e.g -Awake
Crime thriller -offers a suspenseful or mysterious account of a crime. eg Seven  

The subgenre thats inspires me is horror. one of the best horrors i have seen is Paranormal Activivty which is about a young couple who are disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night.
