An opening of a film introduces the key characters, sets the scene (location), tells us the sub genre and introduces the narrative opening. It allows the tone or mood of the movie to be set and lays a foundation for the entire film. it can also reflect on the title allowing the audience to have a better understanding about what the film will be about.
I analysed the 'Momento' opening scene and took a few notes on how its opening sequence was.
